UNIQUE MELODY CABLES & SOCKETS.
We’ve changed the design of our cables to a four weave braid. The old twisted cable will be phased out slowly and replaced by our new braided cable. These cables took a bit of development to ensure that they maintain the same soft and non microphonic feel of the old UM Cable.
Here is what’s on offer when you make your purchase you can choose from three types of sockets. All listed below with detailed pictures.
RECESSED SOCKET (default)
The recessed socket is our default socket, and both clear and black cables in 50″ or 64″ to suit.

– Pins and cable fit snug inside socket housing
– Compatible with many cables
– Recessed socket offers a lower chance of IEM damage
– Cable attached easy
CONS
– Pins may loosen over time
– Cable damage possible
EXTRUDED SOCKET (new)
We now have a fully extruding socket available, and both clear and black cables in 50″ or 64″ to suit.
PROS
– Sleek & modern looking
– New strain reliefs as sockets sit outside of IEM
– Extruding socket offers a lower chance of socket damage
– Cable attaches easy
CONS
– Minimal cable compatibility (only available in black and clear)
FLUSH SOCKET
PROS
– Simple connection
– Lowest chance of IEM damage
– Compatible with many cables
CONS
– As there is no housing will face more strain on pins
– Cable pins prone to bending
– Cable pins prone to loosening
– Cable damage possible
